Knife Making - Forging Gyuto Japanese Knife
Hello, in this video I show you how I forged a Japanese knife, better known as a Gyuto. To forge it I used 52100 steel, normally bearing steel. The knife has an 8” blade and is 3.5mm thick. The handle was made from a piece of horn, bone and yellow wood. I made a Hamon line to highlight the tempering line. Olá, neste video mostro como forjei uma faca japonesa, mais conhecida como Gyuto. Para forja-la usei aço 52100 normalmente aço rolamento. A faca tem 8"de lamina, ficou com 3.5mm de espessura. O cabo foi feito com um pedaço de chifre, osso e madeira amarela. Fiz uma linha Hamon para destacar a linha de tempera.
