Cover letters are one of those things that can be more of a hassle than a resume or filling out an application! They can also be extremely tedious since they change for EACH JOB! Who has time to do all that?! Employers know much we hate cover letters, so when they come across an applicant who has a great cover letter, it makes a big impression! It's worth taking the time out, especially if it's a job you really want.
I wanted to create a video outlining all the steps of a cover letter so you know EXACTLY what to include. I hope this makes the process a little easier.

0:08 - Step 1: Add a heading (Your personal information)
0:15 - Step 2: Add a formal greeting ("Dear Employer,")
0:25 - Step 3: Add an Introduction Paragraph (Highlight the most important points to catch their attention

1. Keep it concise!
2. Have formal and proper grammar (I use the software Grammarly. It's worth the money!)
3. Create a custom cover letter from scratch! Spend the time tailoring it to the specific position. DON'T USE A GENERIC LETTER! You think they won't know, but they will know!
