Intro to Saxon Runes: RAIÐŌ (Rêda) ᚱ
In this video, Dr. Scott Shell offers some new insight on the rune rêda (PGmc raiðō) Old Saxon. We see attestations such as branderêda (‘firedog’) and skaperêda (‘frame’), showing direct evidence that this rune can mean to "rightly order" something.
