After a year and a half of not going out to film the day, we finally got round to it. A relaxing walk along the rail trail. NOT. Well in part it was a little stressful on the camera/tech/communication side of things, but in the end I felt I got to really play with the auto focus in filming.
The Films shown in The Grumpy Gits are basically a few friends going for walks, recording it, some nice scenery and maybe a bit of social comment. Or anti-social comment using cameras to record the day/afternoon simply it's about play.
Making films is something I love to do, lately I've enjoyed watching the custom car/ wheeleer dealer/ flipping bangers type of shop, yes they're all about cars, but there are formulas in the way they put things together that hooks us in, in my opinion. I like to watch how they are made i.e camera angles, arty shots, drone, in car... I like to play with those ideas in the films I do and that's the main reason for doing them.
The're a document of a moment.
