Different Ways to Sculpt Hair | Nomad Sculpt
What to use to sculpt hair? tubes, sphere, UV sphere, or sculpt directly on the head?
This video covers a couple different approaches, their use cases, and a bonus approach that might work for 2D style hair (but takes time).
Tubes: loose strands, bangs, ponytails
Sphere: blobs of hair, buns, back of head hair
UV sphere: when you want to use the poles for ponytails
Shell: typically not a good idea
Sculpting on the head: if you want short hair, smooth hairline
Bonus Lathe method: 2D style hair (but takes time to trim correctly)
