Flamme Kapaya demo I IV I V
I am trying to learn this amazing thing played by Flamme Kapaya on his DVD "Modern Congolese Guitar Style" (by prosmart-studio). If anybody knows if it is part of a song or included in some record please let me know.
At its root it is just a I-IV-I-V progression, like pretty much half of modern sebene parts (the other half being I-IV-V-IV), and the solo is at least 90% chord based, but the colors, voices and rhythm that he finds within those constraints in this solo performance are impressive and simply beautiful, not to mention the control and confidence shown.
The DVD looks like a must-have even just for that part.
