Mountain Legacy Project: A short portfolio
I was lucky enough to work on this project and was out in the field in 2012. This short video gives an indication of what the Mountain Legacy Project does. The image pairs seen here are as follows:
Kings Creek Ridge in the Opal Range in Kananaskis Country, Alberta;
Mt. Worthington in Kananaskis Country, Alberta;
Mount Assiniboine in Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park, British Columbia.
The B&W images from Kananaskis Country were taken in 1916, and the Assiniboine B&W was taken in 1913.
Lots of landscape change to be seen -- note especially the glacier in the middle of the Mt. Worthington shot -- it is there in 1916 and gone in 2012.
