I finally got around to creating a video of my first year experiencing freediving and spearfishing around Wellington, New Zealand. I have always loved the idea of gathering my own food and spearfishing is the most sustainable and primal way to do so. Due to
its selective form of hunting nothing goes to waste, and from the amount of effort required to catch a meal you can really appreciate and respect the fish once you manage it catch it and cant get more than you need. It brings friends and family together and tastes far better than anything you can commercially buy.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to capture half of my best spearfishing experiences because I often forget to record in the moment haha.
