The Keeper

What is it to ensure the safety of a beloved of the heart, even at times when he may wander off and be led astray? One may say that checking-in is one way to influence the outcome of the beloved’s safety. But what if the beloved of the heart is a child? When the beloved is near, the protector may dutifully check-in to ensure his safety, but when the child wanders, he is lost, and all checking-in was pursued in vain.

So, what is it to save a person unless he is ‘kept’? When the protector merely checks-in but fails to keep, the beloved is left to the open field of his enemies.

Similarly, when it relates to the Protector/Savior who is the Son of God, is it not so that many who profess to believe in Him assert that His salvation comes as an offering at an opportune occurrence? Are they not content in absolute resolve that salvation is plainly a concept – not supernatural - but an instant life preserve which presents itself by chance at the right given moment – quickly going out as it came in?

These feign believe that it is enough to watch over a beloved for his safety but possessing no understanding that watching doesn’t equal to “keeping” – for to keep involves unyielding faithfulness. It doesn’t go out, has no lapses, and it is always actively on guard.

There must be a place where “keeping” resides since it could never be as vapor coming and going as the wind. Therefore endearingly, the place of residence for keeping the beloved is in no other place but the heart. A pure heart is the place of refuge and safety where “keeping” resides. If the heart is not rest for the beloved, it is instead home for strangers - “saving” has no existence.

To Yeshua - - the only Perfect Keeper. You have caused me to witness, experience, and understand that Your saving is the outward expression of Your inwardly keeping. Your salvation is a "keeping" which never stops but constantly oversees - - NOT HALF THE WAY - - but in all ways and at all times.

Please do not ever stop causing Yourself to be my sweetest Wine, who fills up my cup abundantly and overflowingly to and over the top. Yes, Your keeping me never stops...

I love You…Shaunte’

I the LORD do keep it;
I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it,
I will keep it night and day.'”
