In Fallout 76 you can modify your weapons to make them better just like the weapon modification in Fallout 4 except you have to unlock the mods for weapons. These weapon modifications are going to need resources like adhesive which is ANNOYING TO FIND in Fallout 76. These gun modifications will help you improve your guns by increasing damage, stability, mag capacity and accuracy in Fallout 76.
To unlock these weapon mods for Fallout 76 weapons you'll have to actually dismantle and scrap the weapons to unlock the mods to be able to craft them. Some weapon attachments in Fallout 76 require you to have perks like gunsmith.

Getting a hunting rifle in Fallout 76 is very important early on! The hunting rifle is actually a really good early game weapon in all Fallout games. After you farm to get a bunch of hunting rifles and other weapons you go to any bench and scrap all the extra ones to get the resources and then use those resources to modify the best weapons you have with the new Fallout 76 weapon modifications the you just unlocked!
If you plan on doing a lot of weapon craft I would recommend that you pick up the gunsmith perk under intelligence! the gunsmith perk card thing will allow you to make certain mods for your weapons. These weapon modifications are only available to you after you unlock them by scraping the weapon they are for in Fallout 76 and having the Gunsmith perk. Not all Weaon mods need the gunsmith perk so don't forget to switch out the gunsmith perk when you're not using it!
