This tool will place dampers automatically on needed duct branches or ducts intersecting with linked walls.
Select all the connected routing or select take-offs for which you need the dampers to be placed.
Run the tool.
Select the entire project or run on the selection(recommended).
Select to run on vertical or horizontal ducts.
Select to run on a round or rectangular duct.
Select the needed damper to place.
Define the distance between damper and takeoff when there is no wall intersection.
Select systems to place dampers on their components.
Select the Link which contains the walls.
Write the distance to place the damper after the wall in case of an intersection
The tool will define shared parameters called "Exclude_Damper_Placement" user can check if no need to add dampers to a specific duct, if not defined you can define it manually as common and yes/no parameter under (duct, duct fittings duct accessories) categories under below path: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\BIME_Magic_Dampers.bundle\Contents\2019\Documentation\Resources\SharedParams.txt
The tool will load the needed dampers, or you can work with your own dampers. In case your damper has the below parameters to control dimensions then it will work with the tool.
The rectangular damper should have a "Duct Width" parameter to control the width and a "Duct Height" parameter to control depth.
The round duct should have a "Duct Radius" parameter to control the round damper radius.
