A small light with great importance. An amazing UNSEEN image behind the scene of climbing the Buddha statue to change a light bulb. A very rare image that few people get to see.
Village headman Chaichana Pathumanat, 48 years old, from Ang Thong province, works as a farmer, raising crops and animals, and holds the position of village headman. He was inspired to become a village headman by his father, and he has now held this position for 12 years. He's truly exceptional. The headman takes great care of the villagers, remembering every one of them, which has made him beloved by the community.
In addition to this, the headman has another crucial occupation that's no less important than his others: he's an electrician. Today, the headman will embark on a mission of faith, climbing up to change the light at the top of the Phra Ketu Mala (crown) of the Great Buddha statue at Wat Muang, Hua Taphan Subdistrict, Wiset Chai Chan District, Ang Thong Province. The statue stands 95 meters tall, equivalent to a 30-story building. There's a light up there that blinks and shines brightly, serving as a symbol and warning signal for airplanes that there's a very tall structure here. At night, when it's pitch black, nothing can be seen, so this light is absolutely necessary.
When this light malfunctions, no one else can climb up to change it except this man. The headman told us that in his lifetime, he has had the opportunity to change this light three times, and today he will be doing it for the fourth time.
Let's watch this UNSEEN behind-the-scenes image that we believe is not easy to come by, and few people get to see. Let's join in sending our support to the headman as he completes this mission of faith.
