This song was written depicting the state of THE PRODIGAL SON (Luke 15:11-32) what was his state when he rejected his father's love and went away enjoying all the pleasures of life and ended up his life in misery, poverty and labour.
At that point he remember his father and calls to him with a repented heart and wants to turn back to him and again live his life in peace and unity.
A prayer deep within his heart to god TO WALK IN HIS PATH ( Proverbs 8:20) and also declaring that he is our GOOD SHEPHARD AND WHEN WE ARE LOST IN OUR LIVES HE COMES IN SEARCH FOR US AND SAVES US (Matthew 18:13).
