A Walkthrough: Installing Apache and MariaDB on Ubuntu Linux
In this tutorial, Debra starts with Ubuntu Server and Ubuntu Desktop running as virtual machines in Oracle VirtualBox. The two VMs are each configured in the hypervisor Network Settings using a bridged adapter so that they can communicate. Debra proceeds to install Apache as an open source HTTP server and shows how the Ubuntu Desktop can open the default "welcome" web page on the server. Next, the MariaDB service is installed and the 'systemctl' command is used to check the status of installation.
