Stevie Wonder - Do I Do
"Do I Do" is a song written and performed by Stevie Wonder, first released in 1982 on the album Stevie Wonder's Original Musiquarium I. It reached #10 in the UK and peaked at #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US.[1]
The song is ten and a half minutes long. It features a rare example of Stevie Wonder rapping near the end of the track. Dizzy Gillespie is also featured on the track with a trumpet solo. Both of these are removed from the single edit of the song.
In 2001, rapper Ja Rule sampled it for his song, "Livin' It Up". The same year, smooth jazz artist Gerald Beasley did a cover version of this song for his album On the Fast Track. The song was also covered by Mark Whitfield from his 2009 album Songs of Wonder, but the song is mainly instrumental.
