Links etc below! This video is a detailed walkthrough and honest review of GlitchStep (AUv3, Mac, iOS) by Alex Matheu, developer of Glitchcore. GlitchStep is a 16-step sequencer app focused on real-time sequence manipulation, featuring three main sections: the main sequencer, a slice-based grid, and a ‘glitch’ section. Users can adjust, randomize, and shuffle note values, gate lengths, velocity, and step probability, with a handy glitch XY pad that adds ratchety rhythmic and melodic variation. It also includes pattern-switching and chaining features. While there are aspects I really enjoy, some elements might not suit my personal sequencer workflow preferences. I hope the video provides a helpful guide for those learning the app and those deciding if its workflow aligns with their own needs and preferences.
