How to Polish Carbon Steel. Bright Iron
Hello colleagues!
Today I'm bringing you a short video based on polishing tips and advice.
In this case, the material being worked on is carbon steel.
Many colleagues are completely unaware that this material can be polished.
For this procedure:
-I remind you that the foundation of a good polish is undoubtedly a good sanding.
In addition to the flap disc, pyramid discs allow us to achieve a much finer finish and improve our polishing results.
-Once we finish the fine sanding procedure, we will use a rope disc and black paste for the initial polishing.
-Finally, for extra shine and cleanliness, we will use a gauze or cloth disc and white paste.
-I remind you that this material will quickly rust, given the material it is and especially because we will be leaving the pores open with this procedure.
-I recommend that you immediately proceed to protect it after the polishing process is complete.
-I take it to a specialized company and have it oven-lacquered; the result is amazing.
Specialized paint stores or large retailers can also provide advice on lacquer products if you want to do it yourself.
