Headquartered in Jakarta, Thales has been present in Indonesia for over 45 years and has consolidated its position as a trusted provider in the fields of Defence, Space and Digital solutions.
Thales is a strong systems supplier and integrator to the Indonesian Armed Forces in addition to being the leading provider of surveillance radars, Air Defence systems and Combat Management Systems. Following the establishment of a strategic partnership with DEFEND-ID, a Joint Venture was created between Thales and PT LEN Industri in the field of local Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) activities for the Indonesian Air Force radars.
In the Space sector, Thales has provided five telecommunications satellites since 2007 with the latest SATRIA satellite launched in 2023 which supports the provision of internet services throughout Indonesia and the region.
