NEW W+D 628BC with new inline HD servo 2/1 flexo printers - 900 EPM
The new 628 BC is a 900 envelope-per minute blank fed version which now incorporates all-new fast changeover, easier-to-operate, and tight color register servo flexo print units. These next-generation inline belly print units utilize the same quick-change interchangeable plate cylinder sleeve and auto "print-by-the-numbers" technology as used in the W+D 410 Easy Enveloper and 201 models.
While the flexo printer looks like a typical "flexo belly printer" this new W+D design is far from it. These flexo units have been totally redesigned for operational simplicity to easily achieve very high print quality, faster change-overs, and greater product range flexibility.
• Plate cylinders are sleeved for fast and easy changeover of pre mounted flexo plates in less than 1 minute
• Plates cylinders are of a fixed diameter so one size is used for all print jobs and spare cylinders can have plates pre-mounted off press and then reused. Multiple jobs can be pre-mounted for fast job changeover.
• Simple disconnect easy and quick change of aniloxes
• Proven flow thru "no sling" ink chamber design is easily removed for color and doctor blade changes
• Topside print units easily cantilever into the isle for full operator access to all flexo printing components
• Common Impression technology is used to hold very tight color-to-color print register
• Print and anilox impressions are automatically set by the print-by-the-numbers HMI servo interface reducing start-up print waste.
• Plate cylinder’s color-to-color register is automatically set to reduce start-up waste
• An optional automatic flexo wash-up system is available to reduce color change\over time and free up the operator for other make-ready tasks
• Optional IR dryer for more range of products and print coverage at the highest speeds
