Favourite VGM 23 CHAPTER 3 BOSS (Bug Fables)
Not the official title of the song but that title spells out what the boss is in such detail I thought I'd leave it out for this. Still keeping the all caps aspect of it though.
Bug Fables is one of those games I knew about for years, and in spite of the incredible recommendations and "oh it's the next REAL Paper Mario you've all been wanting", I still didn't go out and play it. Had it on the top of my steam wishlist for years but constantly found reasons to pick other games over it. Maybe I was concerned it just couldn't possibly live up to the level of hype people gave it? Or maybe I just had something against the bugs aspect of it. Would also explain why I have played Hollow Knight yet.
Anyway, I will say that this game didn't immediately blow me away. It wasn't until late in Chapter 2 I started to get into it. Chapter 3 is definitely the part of the game that really won me over, which funny enough fits right in with the Paper Mario series where every Chapter 3 is either my favourite or one of my favourites. It also helps that Vi is my favourite of the trio and this chapter is the Vi focused one. Also, the entire beehive has a lot of other really good tracks, there's great character moments.
Anyway to end off what's already been a really fun and interesting chapter we get this fantastic boss theme. The very moment the song kicks into overdrive is the moment I knew I was going to have a phenomenal time with the rest of the game. An unbeelievably great song to rock out to.
