This video will answer:
What's the weird screen screen to the left of your iPhone?
Why do the widgets on Today View look completely different?
Why do some widgets jiggle and other widgets don't jiggle in edit mode?
Why are left widgets longer than my screen?
How do I change the bottom widgets in the Today View?
That thing to the left of... everything. Whether you're in Lock Screen or your first page of the Home Screen, this is what you get when you swipe left. It’s called the Today View.
A lot of people ignore the today view, rather than taking advantage of it.
Apple likes put put on defaults like news. Gross. That is not going to help your focus, attention, or mood. News should be a choice, not... this. I believe in News consent.
Anatomy of Today View
At the top are exactly the same kind of widgets you can put anywhere on your Home Screen
Below are the “classic widgets” only available here
You can interact with Classic Widgets more than Lock Screen widgets
Classic widgets are less intuitive to set up and edit, though they can be more interactive once they are set up.
Of course these are also both different from the new Lock Screen Widgets-- just to confuse everything.
Customize the way you want them to look! If you see anything you don’t want, there might be a way to stop it. You paid a lot for your iPhone. You deserve to have the phone do what YOU want!
What do you have on your “today” screen? Did you know was there?
