Enterobacterales - non-E. coli (Part 2) - Veterinary Bacteriology and Mycology
In this lecture we dive deeper into the order Enterobacterales, and discuss the genera Salmonella and Yersinia. I describe species specific serovars of Salmonella and a number of pathogenic Yersinia species including Y. pestis - the agent of the plague (yes the black death!) As always, I cover virulence factors, sample collection and diagnostic strategies, zoonotic potential and treatment options.
