Teletype + Just Friends rotating chords
I just dipped a toe into Teletype and Just Friends today and it's already blowing my mind. I didn't even make it though the Just Type Studies before I accidentally stumbled on this technique.
It's just a simple 7-note pattern and I start with one voice, then add a second, then a third. Each additional voice interprets the pattern a bit differently; either performing in a different octave or transposing. Each new voice grabs the next note in the sequence, thus transforming it from a sequence into a chord.
By having three voices and seven notes in the pattern, the chords change on each pass, giving each voice a chance to play new notes. And depending on when I "punch in" the new voices, those chords might be different.
Pretty wild stuff to me but I'm sure it's about to get a lot weirder with TT and JF in the house.
