The last Sonic game I played was my replay of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle a few years ago. Before that, I stopped at the release of Sonic Heroes! Apparently, this new Sonic game has too many buttons for me. Enjoy the blind playthrough! I expect to play more soon. :)

Sonic Frontiers is a 2022 platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. As Sonic, the player explores the Starfall Islands to collect the Chaos Emeralds, after Sonic and his friends are separated when falling through a wormhole. Frontiers integrates traditional Sonic the Hedgehog elements—such as platforming, rings, and grind rails—into the series' first open world.
