Get them in before they're gone. Onboard possibly my last Jet2 757 trip (who knows). This time with 36 year old G-LSAE doing the work for the flight from Manchester down to the beautiful Greek Island of Zakynthos. An afternoon departure from Manchester, which unfortunately means a night arrival into ZTH. So not much to see during the arrival, but plenty of look out for and listen to during the departure and inflight.
A powerful take off from Manchester's RWY05L, with the RB211's doing their thing. Turn up the volume and enjoy the roar as we climb out. Some views over the Pennines, including passing over Stalybridge & Huddersfield before crossing the sea and over mainland Europe. Up at 37,000ft some nice air to air shots! Racing a Qatar 787 as well as a plain white 737 and a shot of an Emirates A380 as well. During the last hour of the flight, in low dusk lighting you'll see some great lightning shots. Avoiding some nasty storms over the Croatian Adriatic coastline. But some fantastic visuals of the lightning. I didn't film much of the descent / approach as it was dark, just the turning onto approach with a view of the runway and the landing & disembarking itself.
