Performance:
OBS recording eats up around 5 to 10 frames. It runs very well on Linux on this setup. Played for 20 hours in Linux and haven't bumped into anything noticeable. It's almost on par with Windows 10. I get about 5 to 15 fps less compared to Windows 10. Booted into the Desktop Enviroment (XFCE) my Arch Linux install only uses ~0.75GB of memory. SC has a lot more memory headroom compared to Windows 10, which uses about ~3.5GB booted into the Desktop. It may not sound like much but SC is very, very memory hungry. Those few gigabytes are worth a lot! For systems with 16GB of memory, like this one, you can really notice the difference in places like Lorville, New Babbage and Orison. In the MangoHud OSD the second number next to RAM is the Swap (16GB total) usage in case you're interested. I did not experience a difference in the amount of bugs compared to Windows 10. Take this with a grain of salt though because this is not really testable given the state of the game and I only played about 20 hours. Your mileage may vary. I cannot wait for SC to get official Linux support but till that time I am very happy with this solution! Being able to play this game on Linux I think is just awesome and amazing.
