Paul McCartney - C'mon People
This was shot at Bray Studios. A lovely place by the river, but in the middle of bloody nowhere! Maybe McCartney has a house down there..? And a very nice chatty guy he was dropping plentifold anecdotes about Magical Mystery Tour, Mary Hopkin, etc. (Make of that what you will...)
Linda never seemed to tire of lecturing folk on the evils of eating meat. One poor electrician mentioned that he liked fish and she nearly bit his head off "Do you know what it's like for a fish to drown in air, gasping for oxygen???" Hence the catering was strictly vegetarian, and very good it was too - and a lot better than the stuff they sell in supermarkets under her own brand name. But after three days of it I felt I could easily attack and consume any small mammal that should wander onto the set!
The ever so nice Kevin Godley directed, and the extraordinary Steve Chivers lit - such a hard worker that guy, and so very talented! And who could forget Nicky, the lovely production manager..?
