Hanuman Jayanti is a Hindu festival celebrated to honor the birth of Lord Hanuman, who is considered to be the embodiment of strength, courage, devotion, and loyalty. It is celebrated on the 15th day of the Shukla Paksha in the Hindu month of Chaitra, which falls between March and April.
The festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country, especially in North India. Devotees offer prayers and perform puja in temples dedicated to Lord Hanuman. They also recite Hanuman Chalisa, a hymn in praise of the Lord.
The celebration also includes processions, devotional songs, and special feasts. People also visit Hanuman temples and apply tilak on their foreheads, which is considered as a symbol of Hanuman's blessings.
