Sometime no matter how hard you try you can't seem to get ahead. Like a constant uphill battle just to live paycheck to paycheck. Well, do I have some good news for you! Here are a few ways to help get yourself out of that vicious cycle and improve your livelihood.
Now, we all have 24 hours in the day, right? Elon Musk has the same amount of hours in the day as you or me but he seems to get a LOT more done than either of us. Metro UK says that he's gone so far as to work 120 hours a week and is now only working 80 hours a week.
Now that's probably more than any normal person wants to work. But he's able to do this because he has some insane time managing skills.
So, the first thing you should do is take a look at your time. If we take a look at that one website teachers hate (Wikipedia) most people watch over 5hrs per day of TV. That's 35 hours every week, almost enough hours to equal working a full-time job, except it's spent re-watching episodes of the “The Office”. And if you say "nOoOooo nOt Me, I dOn't WaTcH Tv" well you're right, but you're also WRONG!
Because according to The Washington Post young people, me included, spend over 7 hours every day on their phones! That's about 50 hours a week, or a sick week if you're Elon.
This isn't to say "yOu’Re On YouR PhoNes ToO dAng mUch yOu MiLeNiAl SnOw FlAkEs!" because you should take time to relax a bit at the end of the day. And you can spend it watching tv, going on your phone or doing whatever else it is you like to do.
But, the point I'm trying to make is that we really do have a lot of spare time that we keep giving away for free. Nowadays your attention is almost as valuable as money. That's why companies pay for you to watch their ads, they're paying for your attention. Even if it's just a brief second of it.
It's good to enjoy your time by rewatching The Office or playing NBA 2K20. But if you could just take a few of those 5 to 7 hours spent on watching tv and going on your phone and instead spend that time building some side income. You would eventually free yourself from being broke all the time.
The next way is to make sure you have quality friends. Now I know what you’re thinking, “Ha! What friends?!” and if that’s the case then I guess you only need to listen to some of this next part. But, hanging out with friends that are constantly trying to get you to spend money on things you don't need can be taxing on your bank account. Especially if one of your quote-unquote friends is always asking "hey could I borrow have 10 bucks" every time you're hanging out.
