So this was a Virgin texturizer or TexLax as some may know it on natural hair, which is supposed to be a milder formula of the traditional relaxer, but it felt just like a relaxer… And let’s just say I did not like that part (that burning/hot feeling on my scalp! For a little background, I am fully African American and I'd say my texture did change but not drastically. It went from a 4a to 3c. I followed the directions in the box and left the relaxer in for 10 minutes. And for the most part I achieved my desired results which was to have HEALTHY low- maintenance NATURAL hair.
No more 4 hour wash days!
My new hair care routine will be catered to relaxed hair and I'm looking forward to sharing my journey. Although I'm not straight hair relaxed, my hair still went through chemical processing, so my hair care routine has changed. Please leave any questions below an please remember to be kind to me. I likely will not respond to any opinions justifying my choice to relax my natural hair and share my experience with others.
1 Week Post Relaxer update coming 12/12/24… God willing. See you there! ❤️
