Plot
After the Tragedy ended, Hope's Peak Academy was rebuilt and began to scout and enroll talented students once again, only this time under a different name: Hope's Pass Academy. Rantaro Amami has been selected to attend Hope's Pass Academy's 1st Class as the Ultimate Adventurer. However, on the day of the inauguration ceremony, he is abducted and rendered unconscious. When he awakens, he finds himself in a strange facility known as the "Learning Institue for the Gifted and Talented", with Monokuma as the headmaster. Trapped within the walls of the Institution, Rantaro, along with 15 other captives, are forced to participate in the "Killing School Session" a tournament where one must kill in order to escape.
Theme
The theme of this game is Trust Vs Distrust. Every installment has displayed this theme to some extent (No murders would occur if everyone trusted each other, obviously) but this series will focus on it in detail. Who the characters decide to place their trust in will play a very important role in this project and will be essential to the plot. Every motive will also elude to the theme in its own way, giving each culprit a unique incentive to commit murder.
Concept
The main goal of this project is to amend what I believe Kodaka has broken. The ending of Danganronpa V3 is by far the most controversial one in the entire series. Some people say its good, some people say its bad, but many people can agree on one thing: It created way too many plotholes. The mastermind's revelations were hard to take at face value, and in the end, no one knows for sure what if any of it true or not. Normally, I would just wait for the next game to come out, but with Kodaka leaving Spike Chunsoft to direct TOKYOO Games I feared the errors will never be corrected. So I gathered a group of fans and we have decided to take matters into our own hands and create a web series of our own that will ultimately explain every single contradiction. The story will take place before the Killing School Semester and will focus on the Killing Game Rantaro participated in prior to the one in Danganronpa V3. It will feature new characters and will reveal how Rantaro earned the title of "Ultimate Survivor". Keep in mind that while we are personally invested in making this series a reality, none of the people who have volunteered for this project have or will be paid. If you are interested in this project all I ask is that you spread the word so that fans far and wide will have an opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind, fanmade installment in the Danganronpa series.
