'Be' is a very important verb in English grammar. By the end of this English language grammar lesson, you will be an expert in using the verb be!

I will present two important functions of the verb be. Be helps us to give more information about the subject of the sentence. We also use be in many useful set expressions - set phrases that you can learn and memorise as 'chunks' of language. Learning language in chunks will help you to be more fluent.
