Floortec is an uncoupling-based installation membrane for ceramic or stone tiles. It is positioned between the substrate and the tile. Using the proper mortar-based adhesives, tile and membrane are joined together.

The tension between the substrate (concrete or wood structures) and tile can be neutralized by the membrane's ability to account for unequal movement in all directions
Compared to other-shaped columns, the circular column support structure on the membrane's surface offers greater load resistance. The mortar-based adhesive on the mat's surface fills the circular voids to create a sturdy column support structure
The tile flooring can be laid without having to wait for concrete to cure normally because the open chambers on the bottom of the membrane relieve pressure on moisture rising from the substrate (28 days)
