Nio Firefly Premium EV Hatchback
Firefly (Chinese: 萤火虫; pinyin: Yínghuǒchóng) is an electric car brand launched by Chinese automaker Nio Inc. in 2024. It focuses on producing compact, premium electric vehicles for both the Chinese and European markets.
The brand's first model, a sleek five-door hatchback named Firefly (stylized as firefly), was designed under the direction of Kris Tomasson, Nio’s Vice President of Design. Pre-orders for the vehicle opened in China on the brand’s launch day, and it officially debuted on April 19, 2025, just before Auto Shanghai 2025. Customer deliveries began shortly after, on April 29, 2025.
