Our Vision for Mosley Common | Peel L&P
Hear from Richard Knight, Peel L&P's Director of Planning & Strategy, and Jon England, Northstone's Development Director as they talk about our plans to create a brand-new community at Mosley Common, Wigan.
Working in partnership with Wigan Council, we have a vision to create a healthy living and sustainable community with neighbourhoods centred around woodlands, meadows, watercourses, moss land recreation areas and a new transport hub to improve connectivity and active travel. The plans include a mix of new homes and 25% affordable housing to meet a range of local needs.
Following two rounds of public consultation through 2022, a Masterplan for the Mosley Common site was endorsed by Wigan Council. In February 2023, planning applications were submitted for 1,050 new homes and supporting infrastructure and green spaces, in line with the Masterplan, and are now being considered by Wigan Council.
