Install Hadoop (CDH4) on 5 nodes with VMWare, CDH4, Cloudera Manager 4
A demonstration of building a 5 node hadoop cluster in VMWare VMs using Cloudera Manager 4 and CDH4 in less than an hour.
I decided only to trim an obvious wait, but the rest is real-time to demonstrate just how quickly you can accomplish a test environment of Hadoop using CDH4 and Cloudera Manager 4.
The same sequence of steps can be used with physical machines, or any other virtualization platform such as virtual box, parallels, xen, kvm, etc...
I used CentOS 6.2 for the demo.
