Excel Slicers to filter, slice & dice your data I MS Excel
Excel slicers provide buttons that you can click to filter tables or PivotTables. In addition to quick filtering, slicers also indicate the current filtering state, making it easy to understand what is currently displayed. One huge advantage of slicers is seeing what you are filtering by and what is excluded. These slicers can be used in creating dashboards to slice & dice your data/report.
To make the dataset into a Table:
Insert - Table (Shortkey- CTRL + T)
To insert slicers: go to Insert - Slicer
If you want to connect a slicer to PivotTable, go to Slicer - right click- Report Connections - check the PivotTables to include, then select OK.
