Exploring Siskiyou National Forest Oregon
Went to Brookings Oregon to check out camping on the Chetco River. Found a decent campsite at the South Fork Campground & Day Use area. We found a campsite tucked in away from the day use area wrapped with blackberry bushes to give us some privacy. Above our campsite was the main road with a bridge that crossed the river which allowed vehicles passing by to see down into our campsite. We had a trail that lead down to the river. The river had a nice area to sit and enjoy yourself in the shade along with a deep area for swimming. The wind was blowing most of the time with strong gusts blasting our camp site from 3pm to 8pm.
