With the aim of promoting and encouraging Lebanese tourism, specifically domestic tourism for those facing mobility challenges and visual impairments, the "Vanture" platform, owned by Rita Nehme,partnered with the Lebanese Mountain Trail Association (LMTA) and the Mount Moussa Reserve. They organized the first long-distance hiking program in the Middle East, designed specifically for young Lebanese individuals. They explored a significant portion of the reserve throughout a full day, with the goal of creating an inclusive environment to explore the beauty of the Lebanese mountains and enjoy the benefits of outdoor activities.
The Lebanese Mountain Trail Association took an interest in this initiative to provide them with an opportunity to connect with nature and experience the joy of hiking. They developed specialized equipment in collaboration with international experts and organizations, taking into account factors such as mobility, stability, and comfort.
The Mount Moussa Reserve took all necessary steps to ensure the safety and accessibility of the trails and facilities for those with mobility challenges.
Rita Nehme, the owner of the "Vanture" platform, says, "No matter how great the pain and difficulties are, we must never lose faith and hope."
