Back massage and proper technique require that the lumbosacral region be addressed.
It is recommended to always begin a back massage with the gluteal muscles, including the piriformis muscle.
This muscle blocks the sciatic nerve and causes sharp, shooting pain.
A back massage should also include the lateral surface muscles and the upper trapezius.
We recommend performing a back massage 3-4 times a week along with a therapeutic exercise program.
