Abstract: The preprocessor has always been considered as something unhelpful, error-prone, conservative, and, therefore, never been learned, and, in the end, forgotten and neglected as a nightmare. I want us to take a fresh look at the preprocessor, and see what we can make of it. I will cover basic arithmetics, data structures, control statements, and recursion, showing how expanding happens stage by stage and scan by scan. You will develop a knowledge base that will help you out with understanding the underlying magic behind Boost.Preprocessor library.
Behold! Practical examples shall be anticipated!
