Reticulated giraffes are native to the savannas and open woodlands of Africa. Eating mostly twigs of trees, they usually prefer places with many trees, though because of their size it's difficult for them to move in thick forests. They usually live in groups, ranging anywhere from just a few giraffes to over forty. Reticulated giraffes have more square shaped and brighter colored spots than most other giraffes, and their conservation status is Vulnerable mostly due to habitat loss and poaching.
