To prepare the smart preview, you first need to create a new catalog and give it a name. Then, drag the RAW images from the folder into Lightroom. Importing takes some time- please be patient. Once import is complete, move to the library menu and then preview - to create the smart preview. Choose the option for all phoyos. Lightroom will begin creating a preview for your images. When everything is ready, press 'okay'. Check that smart previews were created for all the images. That's it!
