Hey guys! Have you ever wondered how your favorite sugar-coated, sweet, crunchy caramelized peanuts that are packed in a colorful pouch that you usually buy in the supermarket are being made? No? Sorry, but I did!
And when I learned about this super easy-to-make recipe, I realized that I was spending quite much on those pouches being sold in the market!

1 pouch will cost you about P100 whereas if you make your own, your 100 bucks can actually yield 1kg of peanuts!
Here in the Philippines, 1kg of raw white peanut ranges from P90-P95, sugar ranges from P40-P52 and you only need a few cups in the recipe that I'm sharing with you.
So overall you'll be spending P100 only!!! Cool isn't it?

So feel free to follow my recipe and let me know how it goes by commenting down below.

Recipe:
7 cups (1kg) raw white peanuts
3 1/2 cups white sugar
3/4 cups water

Procedure:
1. On a heated pan, pour in raw peanuts and continue stirring in low fire for 5 minutes.
2. Mix in the sugar and water.
3. Increase fire to medium-high then bring to boil with occasional stirring.
4. The water will evaporate and the sugar syrup will eventually revert back to its crystallized form.
5. Keep stirring and the crystallized sugar will start to melt and caramelize.
6. Stir this to coat the peanuts until all the sugar has caramelized.
7. Remove from heat then let it cool.
