Resin & Wire Cactus Succulent - Easy DIY Decor Crafts Project

Today’s video is a fun little project to make out of wire and either resin or concrete. I chose resin for this video but I made a much larger version of this cactus a while back using concrete for the base. This isn’t on YouTube but it is on my Hometalk page. The larger cactus is very similar in terms of process to the smaller one, a couple of small differences include:
Wrapping an extra strand of wire around the main ‘U’ shape pieces of wire but in the opposite direction to the first
Making an extra long wire piece where I added in an arm bend
Making teeny flowers for the top
Pouring a concrete base instead of resin

I really enjoyed making this little style cactus because it took so much less time and has a slightly more realistic look to it than the abstract look of the larger one. My husband even said ‘So you bought a pot for it then?’ thinking the little terracotta pot wasn’t DIY (I was both insulted and flattered) 😂. They look so good together on my shelf too. Maybe I need to make a medium sized one now….any ideas on how I change it up for a different looking ‘mummy sized’ one?
