My Bosphorus
On July 26, 2015, Gennady Rovner swam across the Bosphorus.
The Intercontinental Bosphorus Swim is an annual iconic 6.5-kilometer open water swimming competition organized by the Turkish Olympic Committee. Approximately 2,000 swimmers from around the world participate in the Bosphorus Swim each year. Each country is limited to a maximum of 350 athletes.
The participation quota was sold out within the first 10 minutes of registration opening, which demonstrates the incredible popularity of the event.
