I watched the same movie 100 times in a row, dedicating 194 hours to Ryan Reynolds' Green Lantern, spending 8 days locked in a shop window in Wrexham City Centre.
Welcome to WRob, WRyan WRing Me, a performance art project. I wanted to explore my feelings about the Wrexham AFC takeover by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in a fun and unexpected way. When Ryan and Rob released the Disney+ and FX documentary series 'Welcome to Wrexham' I basically thought: while the world is watching Wrexham, I'll be in Wrexham, watching Ryan Reynolds.
And so I set out to watch the notorious 2011 superhero movie Green Lantern 100 times in a row. Across the 8 days I had all kinds of visitors. They ranged from international stars (shoutout Moody Marty from Canada!), to the Mayor of the city, to the head of the council, to Ryan Reynolds' Disney+ documentary crew themselves!
