This Movement for the Lux Blossom Time clock needed to be taken apart and cleaned properly. The customer said it would only run a short while and stop. After opening the movement, I noticed the gears were stuck in the plates of the movement. This is why you should take your movements apart if the clock stopped running and clean thoroughly. If the clock would keep running, they you could re-oil the clock and would have been fine.

Here I do most of my work on clocks. Mainly cuckoo clocks, yet I am always looking for the unusual and eye catching clocks. Some of the clocks I get into are ones that need saved from the dump. They fell off the wall from not securing the clock to the wall using the stud behind the sheetrock. Some of the clocks were laid to rest out in the garage or barn and I except the challenge of getting them back together again.
A well loved clock at one time is one that has a lot of wear and you find old bushings that might need to be replaced.
