Today's ASMR features a hairdresser performing a Japanese hairdo.
Japanese hairdo is a hairstyle that women used to wear on a daily basis since the Edo period (1603-1868), and this time, the setting is a town girl of the Edo period (a girl who might be seen in a tea store), and we have matched her kimono.
In those days, it took about a week to change the hairstyle, and it was considered a part of the grooming to tie one's own hair, but it must have been done by family members or maidens.
It seems that women also had the job of doing the hair ressing. (When there was no prohibition of extravagance).
This lovely hairstyle was created by Seiko Hishida, a hairdresser at Seiko Hairdressing.

Seiko Hishida honed her skills while living and working at a hair salon in Gion, Miyagawa-chou, and Ponto-chou in Kyoto, where she worked with maiko (apprentice geisha).
TAM has wanted to meet her for a long time, and we were very honored to be able to photograph her this time.
The sound of the iron stretching the hair and the way each part of the Japanese hairdo was created one after another was very impressive to photograph.
(It was a shame to let the hair down, it was too beautiful, and I wished the model would go back to Tokyo with it.)
Thank you so much, Hishida-san, for giving us this precious experience! The model was very happy.
