By request I did a full Start-to-Finish Hideout build video showing exactly what I personally do when designing and putting together these layouts. I put this hideout together trying to reuse a lot of ideas I've previously used so that if there are any segments / designs, etc. that you enjoy and would like to try and replicate in your own hideout you can refer to that full video to see exactly how I put it together.

With this particular build I went into it completely blind with no prior ideas as to what I was going to do so that everything I put together in the full length video was genuine in-the-moment decisions.

There are no cuts, aside from splicing together vids due to PS5's 1hr record limit, so what you get is a full real time build from start to finish.

Throughout the video I've included closed captions providing notes and comments about my general thought process.

I typically approach these builds in a series of steps

1- Have an idea (if I have one at all) - you can either have a preconceived idea of what you want, like I did with my Sakura Garden build, or you can go into it completely blind like I did with this one.

2- Figure out building placement - Decide first what you want to do with your buildings and where you want them to be. Do you want certain buildings joined together into a singular structure? All separate?

3- Draw pathways - After you've figured out where you want your buildings to be. Imagine the roads / covered pathways that connect them all.

4- Decorate - you can approach this a number of ways, but the way I usually approach this is that once the buildings and paths are in place you'll likely have created some segmented areas between the buildings and the interconnecting pathways. Start decorating and imagining what you want to go into those gaps. Select key decorations that you really like the look of, figure out where you want them and then decorate around them.

A quick tip is to read descriptions of decorative items. I will often try to group similar objects together and place them near relevant buildings. I will often put training equipment / weaponry near the dojo as well as the watchtower and alarm bell. If I create a market area I'll have the fruit stands and tie dye racks, etc. I will place religious statues / shrines / accessories near the relevant buildings.

5 - Fill out empty space with foliage. Trees, bushes and flowers are a quick and easy way to fill empty space, add some vibrant colours to your hideout. Try to mix a bunch of different plants and flowers together to create variety and offer a beautiful mix of colours.

Please enjoy - like and comment if you'd like to see more - and I hope this helps inspire some of your own builds
